Bosal approached us at IMAGESTORM, how to promote their new bike rack system at the International Automobile Fair (IAA). Compared to the usual abstract technical animations that you see there, this pleasurable and emotional film really stood out.
I was thrilled to be given the opportunity to direct the 7 person animation team and lead the project from start to finish. So writing the story, editing animatics, creating style frames and compositing while keeping track of shot lists and the tight deadlines were a natural part of my job - as well as animating a few scenes myself.
Providing animation feedback when needed while still letting everyone enjoy their own creativity was something I enjoyed a lot. And everyone at IMAGESTORM was very supportive - it was as good a team work as you can wish for, so everything went smoothly.
